Chaudharwadi[1] is a village and Gram Panchayat in Baramati Taluka in Pune district of Maharashtra State, India. It is located 65 km south of District headquarters Pune and 34 km from Baramati.
Chaudharwadi is located at 18.15°N 74.58°E. It has an average elevation of 538 meters (1765 feet). Postal head office is Someshwarnagar. Morgaon (15 km), Nira (10 km), Someshwarnagar (8 km), Murti (7 km) are the nearby Villages to Chaudharwadi.
Phaltan, Baramati, Sasvad, Jejuri, Morgaon are the nearby cities to Chaudharwadi. Shadu is a kind of clay found in the Chaudharwadi Village. A traditional medium of making Ganesh idols, shadu clay is an eco-friendly way of making Ganesh idols.
About
Chaudharwadi[2] has its own natural beauty, which beckons to all kinds of visitors. The highest number of chinkara are found in the forest area of the village. In the village there are two main temples, Hanuman Mandir and Bhavani Mandir. One of the Ashtavinayaka temples, Mayureshwar, Morgaon is located about 15 km from Chaudharwadi. The most famous Khandoba Mandir, Jejuri, is also 20 km from the village. Agriculture is the main source of income for the people of this village. There are three main surnames of people found in the village: Pawar, Chaudhari, and Bhapkar. Chaudharwadi’s name also comes from the surname Chaudhari.[3]
History
Royal Pawar families of Dhar staying in Chaudharwadi have a history of more than 350 years. Pawars consider themselves to have descended from the Parmaras, of the Rashtrakuta dynasty which ruled regions in central India (Dhar, Devas). All these Pawars have roots to Shrimant Shambhu Singh who had a jagir at Supa and Chaudharwadi. They also contributed to Swarajya with Shrimant Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Shrimant Sabhusingh Pawar's son Shrimant Krushna ji Pawar also worked with Shivaji Maharaj. Shrimant Udajiarao Pawar and Shrimant Anandrao Pawar accompanied Bajirao Peshwa for the north conquest. RayajiRaje Pawar and his son MalojiRaje Pawar also accompanied Rajaram Maharaj. All the nearby villages Supa, Phaltan, Malthan, and Chaudharwadi were Jagirs of Royal Pawars. Chattrapati Rajaram Maharaj had given the Pawar brothers responsibility of ending the rebellion against him in Western Maharashtra, which the Pawar brothers ended comfortably. Chattrapati Rajaram trusted these families a lot and conferred them with the title of "Vishwasrao". All these Pawar families were given Saranjam by the title of "Vishwasrao". Pawar families’ contribution to Maratha history has been extraordinary.[4]

The average annual maximum temperature is variable between 30–37 degrees Celsius and the average annual minimum is 20 degrees Celsius. March, April, May, and June are summer months in which the climate is hot. May and June are the hottest months. In these months, sometimes the temperature goes beyond 40 degrees Celsius. Dusty and hot winds of medium velocity are common during summer months. Winter starts from October to February, when the temperature drops down to a minimum of 20 degrees Celsius. Sometimes it drops to 10–15 degrees Celsius.

The rainy season starts by mid-June and lasts till September. The nearest rain gauge station is at Pune.

Dairy Farming is also a main source of income in the village. The village delivers daily 2000 ltr. of milk to cities. Main crops include Sugarcane, Jawari, Bajra, onions, banana, and custard apple.
