Chris Barish
Chris Barish (born 1973) is an American restaurateur and owner of Black Tap Craft Burgers & Beer. He was called a “King of Clubs” by Vanity Fair in 2004.[1]
Career[edit]
Barish graduated from NYU's Tisch Film School.[citation needed] He started his hospitality career in the world of clubs. He opened his first venue, Light, in midtown Manhattan.[2] Barish brought the Light brand to the Bellagio in 2001. Light at the Bellagio became the first nightclub in Las Vegas to offer bottle service.[3][4] Barish also contributed in developing nightclubs and restaurants including Moomba, Gordon Ramsay Pub, and Grill and Gordon Ramsay Steak.[5][6]
In 2006, Barish opened Martini Park in Plano, Texas, a suburb of Dallas. Later it expanded to Chicago, Illinois, and Columbus, Ohio.[7][8]
Barish is a co-owner of Black Tap Craft Beer & Burgers.[9] He opened the burger joint in SoHo, New York in the spring of 2015.[10] Since its opening, Black Tap has opened new locations in the United States and internationally, including the Middle East, Europe, and the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore.[11][12][13][14]
In 2019, Barish opened two businesses at Herald Square’s Kixby Hotel:[15] The Lookup, a rooftop property,[16] and Lot 15, a cocktail lounge.[17]
Personal life[edit]
Barish is the son of Planet Hollywood co-founder Keith Barish and Ann Barish.[citation needed] He is the co-owner of Black Tap with his wife Julie Mulligan and has a daughter, Bee.[citation needed] He also works in the film production industry. Barish was the executive producer for Crown Vic (2019).[citation needed]
