Christian Climate Action is a Christian offshoot of the environmentalist group Extinction Rebellion (XR) based in the United Kingdom.

Believing humans to be the stewards of the earth, the group has been involved in numerous direct action campaigns and other protests to bring awareness of climate change and the climate crisis.

They have called for Christian churches in the UK to help alleviate poverty and inequality caused by climate change.[1] They have also written to Justin Welby, the Archbishop of Canterbury, over the Church of England's lack of support for the group,[1] and glued themselves to the ground outside his official residence to protest the Church's investments in fossil fuels.[2]

It has a membership of over 1000 (with around 150 taking direct action).[1] Ruth Jarman, a long-standing member of the group, is also involved with Operation Noah (which she set up in 2004).[3]

It is associated with Camino to Cop26, a multi-faith[4] women-run group that walked 500 miles to the COP26 conference in Glasgow to protest world leader's lack of action on climate change. Other groups such as Marcha a Glasgow, the Pilgrimage for Cop26 and the Young Christian Climate Network also walked to the conference; they have described the journey as a pilgrimage.[5][6] When in Glasgow, the group engaged in a "die-in" protest in the city centre.[7]
