Christian John Matlock. (born May 1, 1988) is a Scottish-born bounty hunter and a former bail bondsman best known for his appearance in a BBC television documentary The Scottish Bounty Hunter that aired in Scotland on February 13, 2017.

Early life

Matlock attended Brechin High School in his hometown of Brechin, Scotland and Angus College in Arbroath, Scotland before relocating to the United States of America in 2010.

Career

Matlock started working as a bouncer in nightclubs and bars in Northern Virginia while living with his biological father Rickey Matlock before attending school to become a bail enforcement agent and bounty hunter in 2010. Shortly after becoming a bounty hunter, Matlock started his career as a full-time bail bondsman, moving from Woodbridge, Virginia to work for his long-time friend’s bail bonding company in Virginia Beach, Virginia. In 2015, Matlock opened his own bail bonding company, Matlock Bail Bonds LLC, and was in business before selling the company in 2017.

The Scottish Bounty Hunter

In 2016, Matlock teamed up with award-winning Director Matt Pinder and the BBC to create the real-life television documentary *The Scottish Bounty Hunter*. Pinder and his crew followed Christian Matlock for several months, capturing his day-to-day life as a bounty hunter in the United States. The television show shows Matlock locating and apprehending fugitives of justice and returning them to jail. *The Scottish Bounty Hunter* also shows the compassionate side to Matlock as he helps his clients and bail fugitives with ongoing drug addiction issues. The success of the Scottish Bounty Hunter documentary that aired on BBC Scotland on February 13th, 2017, and on BBC iPlayer has now been scheduled for additional broadcasts throughout the United Kingdom.

Personal Life

Matlock is currently single and lives in the City of Virginia Beach, Virginia, alone. He has Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram social media accounts for *The Scottish Bounty Hunter*. Matlock is a long-time fan of the Tennessee Titans, an NFL team in the United States, and the Nashville Predators, a NHL team, both teams playing out of Nashville, Tennessee.
