Andrew Stuart Taee is a British businessman, investor and Investment banker who has had a 35-year career in both the UK and USA. He is currently the Founder and Chairman of Dial Partners LLP, an independent corporate finance and strategic advisory firm based in Mayfair.[1] He was formerly Deputy Chairman and Co-Founding Partner of Carlton Partners LLP, an independent advisory and asset management firm, which had a 9.9% stake acquired by HBOS in 2006.[2]

Andrew attended Ibstock Place School and Millfield school.[3]

Early career[edit]

Andrew began his career as an actuarial sales person at Imperial Life Assurance Company of Canada before moving to New York in 1983 to work at Kent Realty Inc. In 1988, he became Chairman of Clements Taee Biddleman Inc. After returning to the UK in 1993, Andrew became Chief Executive of Crestacare plc, until 1995 when he was dismissed "for a very serious breach of contract",[4] before becoming the Group CEO of European Healthcare Group plc.[5] During the mid-1990s Andrew led the capital raise for the Seattle Coffee Company and the sale of the company to Starbucks.[6] He also led the capital raise for Santa Fe Group plc and the subsequent sale of the company to Yates plc.[7]

Charity fundraising[edit]

Andrew is a Fundraising Patron of Great Ormond Street Hospital,[8] Special Events Fundraising Patron of Marie Curie. He has also served on the GOSH Appeal Board and was a co-founder of the “Tick Tock Club”, alongside the likes of financier Ken Costa and ex-footballer Gary Lineker.[9] In 2010, he chaired and organised the Collars & Coats Ball for Battersea Cats and Dogs.[10]

Interests[edit]

Andrew is a jet helicopter pilot. He has represented Great Britain in the World Helicopter Championships held in France in 2005[11] and Germany in 2008.[12]
