Christina Pascucci is an Emmy Award-winning journalist, licensed pilot, activist, and humanitarian.[1] She is a bilingual reporter at KTLA where she has worked since 2011.[2][3] Throughout her broadcasting career, she has reported from all seven continents.
Pascucci went diving with great white sharks to expose shark finning and plunged 13,000 feet while strapped to a member of the US Navy Parachute team to show viewers the extreme measures elite forces go through to execute dangerous missions.[4][5][6] She also went undercover with the LAPD to help people understand the devastation and complexity of human trafficking.[7]

Pascucci attended the University of Southern California.[8][9] She earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Bachelor of Arts in Spanish, and studied Broadcast Journalism.[10]

Pascucci anchored the KMIR6 NBC News weekday morning show from 2010 to 2012.[11]

Pascucci was an international correspondent from 2016 to 2018, where she investigated New Zealand's dwindling bee populations and worked with farmers to explore Manuka harvesting methods.[12] She dove with hundreds of sharks in the Republic of Palau to expose shark finning and worked with the government to research weather patterns in an investigative report.[13]
KTLA[edit]
Pascucci serves as an anchor and reporter where she has covered both local and national stories that include interviewing the Dalai Lama in India, uncovering wasteful practices by the Los Angeles Department of Water that resulted in changed policy and national coverage.[3][14] Also, exposing a cover-up case involving a cancer cluster at Malibu High School, and embedding with the United States Army at Fort Irwin National Training Center.[15][16]
Personal life[edit]
Pascucci is a licensed pilot and the only female Commissioner of the Los Angeles County Aviation Commission since 2018, where she oversees the planning and development of LA County Airports.[17][18]
Pascucci became the Director of Communications for the Children of War Foundation in 2017, which provides life-saving medical care for refugees and child victims of war across.[19] She is also involved with Catholic Big Brothers Big Sisters, where she has mentored a young girl for more than ten years and was awarded California's Big Sister of the Year in 2019.[20]
Honors[edit]
Pascucci won an Emmy in 2019 and 2020.[21][22] The Los Angeles Press Club awarded her Journalist of the Year in 2020, and she was nominated in 2018.[23][24]
