Christo Allegra
Christo Allegra is an information designer and media artist. Presently, he is a partner at Spatialize, a Digital Media network that seeks to create new experiences in new interfaces.[1]
Allegra's interest in digital art began in the 1990s, when he took a course called Exploring the Internet.[2] He received his bachelors degree in computer science from Johns Hopkins University. Later, Allegra completed a master's degree in Fine Arts at UCLA's Design|Media Art program.[2][3] He was a student at School for Poetic Computation in 2014.[4][2]
Allegra is a freelance artist. His work has been exhibited at the Fringe Gallery,[5] the New Wight Gallery,[3] wild project,[6] and The Con Artist Collective.[7] He has worked with many companies including Bloomberg Media, Charles Schwab, and The New York Times.[2] He uses his art to express his beliefs on queer politics, WTC,[clarification needed] financial data, visualization, and physicalized narrative.[4]

- phi face, his work digitally manipulating Apple CEO Tim Cook's face based on Apple Stock price data, a take on Chernoff faces.[8]
- MARCO, a programmatic painting tool.
- Swen of the Wirble, joint work with Banyan Fierer exploring the destruction in the wake of the Xenia, Ohio tornado.[5]
