Chuck Hassebrook (born April 7, 1955) is a politician from the state of Nebraska in the Midwestern United States. In 2014, he ran as the Democratic Party's candidate in the Nebraska gubernatorial election, losing to Republican candidate Pete Ricketts.

Hassebrook grew up on a farm near Platte Center, Nebraska. He attended Central Community College, and graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.[1][2]

In 1977, he worked as a VISTA volunteer for the Center for Rural Affairs, a nonprofit group that describes itself as undertaking "progressive rural advocacy and policy work".[3] In 1978, he joined the organization's staff; in 1996, he was named its director, a position that he held until 2013.[1][4]
