The City Ground, since 2021 also known as the Trade Tyre Community Stadium for sponsorship purposes, is a football stadium in Lichfield, England, and the current home ground of Lichfield City F.C., Lichfield City U21 and Lichfield City Women F.C. It has a floodlit pitch.
History
The 3G pitch was opened on 20th October 2017 with a game featuring the Midland All Stars team. All proceeds were given to the St Giles Hospice [2]. At this time the stadium was called the McDonald’s Community Stadium due to sponsorship.
Facilities
The Stadium is situated less than a mile from Lichfield Trent Valley railway station and 1.6 miles from Lichfield City station. There is car parking available, (approximately 30 spaces).
Along the main side of the pitch is a seated stand, (approximately 100 seats), followed by a raised standing area, where most of the crowd stands. A second covered seated stand was added in 2022.[3]
There is a licensed club house outside the entrance which sells food and drinks.
The Stadium is included in the NHS National Health Service Choices website to help get people active[4]
The Stadium has disabled access including toilets.
