Clark Prasad (born 31 October 1976), is an Indian author known for his popular fiction novel Baramulla Bomber. His debut Baramulla Bomber, is a techno-thriller based on ancient mythology. Prasad is a healthcare professional with a management degree from IIM Kozhikode and has worked at multi-national pharmaceutical companies for over a decade and a half. Prasad resides in Bangalore, India.

Early life and education[edit]

Born to doctor parents in Lagos, Nigeria, Prasad lived his early childhood days in Lagos and the rest of his childhood in Delhi, India. As a child, he wanted to be an archaeologist or an astronaut, but he eventually studied Pharmacy.[1] He has a Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy from N.G.S.M. Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nitte University.[2] Prasad then obtained his post graduate degree in management (MBA) from IIM Kozhikode (IIM-K). Suraj Prasad, writes under the pen name of Clark Prasad.

Career[edit]

Prasad studied Pharmaceutical Sciences and then worked briefly in a pharmaceutical company. He then went on to obtain his Management degree from IIM Kozhikode in 2003 and was also the President of the Alumni Association from 2007-2011. He is a member of the Association of Professional Futurists.[3]

Literary career[edit]

Suraj Prasad began writing in 2009 and his first novel was published in 2012. In 2013 his debut fiction novel, Baramulla Bomber, was again published by Niyogi Books[4] and launched by Javagal Srinath in Bangalore. He was named as one of India's top 5 authors in the thriller (genre).[5]

The Svastik Trilogy[edit]

Clark Prasad has been in the process of penning Techno-Mythology Thrillers as a trilogy, that he calls The Svastik Trilogy. Baramulla Bomber, the first part of the Svastik trilogy is a thematic look into the origins of the universe and the destiny of the human race. The plot is based on conspiracy theories and quantum physics. There is also mythology, religion espionage, spies, and mystery. Baramulla Bomber is the first book (eka) from the Svastik trilogy and also Prasad's debut novel. The Deccan Chronicle noted that "he is the promise of the emergence of a new writer who is steeped in mythology and science".[6]
