ClassifEYE
ClassifEYE[1] is a food processing system to machine-classify and grade "whole birds" intended for human consumption.
Description[edit]
Several companies now exist in this space, using "a front or back camera or both."[2] ClassifEYE uses a pair of cameras to inspect both the back and the front of each bird, detecting:[3]
- bruises
- flaws in the skin of the bird
- wings that are broken
- other conditions that will affect marketability (depending on options added to the basic system)
By 2013, ClassifEYE was already listed as Prior art.[4]
One of the plants where ClassifEYE automation is used specializes in the production of Halal poultry. [5]
