Clay Silvas (born 7 March 1998) is an American professional footballer forward who plays for Deportivo Toluca F.C. Premier in Liga Premier de México.[4]
Career[edit]
Youth[edit]
From 2015 to 2017, he played for the Sacramento Republic Under-17's and Under-18's. In total, he scored 11 goals in 15 games during his time there.[2]
Warriors FC[edit]
Clay was spotted training and playing preseason friendlies with Warriors FC in 2017.[5] Soon afterwards, he signed for the Singaporean club,[6] scoring in a preseason friendly[6] and making his professional debut in a 1-4 loss to Boeung Ket Angkor in the Singapore Cup.[7] However, injuries have impeded his progress and he is yet to make a start in the S.League[6] despite being the top scorer of the 2017 Prime League.[1]
Playing style[edit]
Silvas is known for his acceleration and his ability to get out of tight spaces. The American forward is known for his goalscoring prowess as well.[8]
Personal life[edit]
His older cousin, Diego Silvas, is also a footballer who plies his trade in the S.League as a forward for Tampines Rovers.[6]
