Clay Alexander is an American inventor and serial entrepreneur who holds more than 100 patents worldwide and is the Founder and CEO of Ember, a global consumer electronics brand and maker of the World’s First Temperature Control Mug.[1]

Biography[edit]

Alexander started his first company, Radiance Lightworks, in 1999 at the age of 23. It has become one of the top lighting design firms in the country, working with clients including Universal Studios, Mattel and 20th Century Fox.

He then launched his second company, Journée Lighting, in 2005 and created the world's first LED track light. It was during this time that Alexander also invented General Electric's LED light bulb, the GE Infusion.
