Clement Ker Madut Ayuel Kiir (born February 4, 1995) in Aweil, South Sudan commonly known[2][3] by the name Clement Soj, is a South Sudanese musician, songwriter and rapper who sings in three languages; Dinka (native language), English and Arabic.[4][5][6] He first released his singles in 2010 and there was great success of those three singles and his fame went through the country. He became famous of his three songs titled Bany Kuel, Welcome, She Is A Liar[7] and Nyan Burkina Faso. In August 2015, Clement Soj his pianist Markoni went to Australia with Dinka singer John Kudusay.[8]
Musical career[edit]
At the age of eleven years he liked to sing existing troditional songs, gradually by gradually neighbours found out that the boy was singer.[9] In the time when he got great familiarisation with music he was happy because he knows himself that he was going to be one of the singers of the world. After he found out that he would be musician, he named himself to be called "Servant Of Jesus" and he abbreviated "Servant Of Jesus" to SOJ,[10] and that was how he got the name Clement Soj for his stage name.[11] In the year of 2010, he released a song titled "Nyan Burkina Faso in Dinka language. And in 2015 he wrote Bany Kuel and Welcome in Dinka language and in the same year they were released. Clement Soj is counted as an international singer. Soj's songs are beloved by the Aweilians and South Sudanese. Soj his song titled "Nyan Burkina Faso" (which is translated Burkinian girl) is beloved by the people of Uganda, Burundi and Kenya.
