Biography[edit]
Habsburg was born on 1 July 1969 in Wau, Sudan (present-day South Sudan).
On 28 August 1999 she married Count Ferdinand Leopold Joseph von Habsburg-Lothringen in Nairobi, Kenya.[1][2] Their marriage was seen as controversial due to her socio-economic class and race. Otto von Habsburg, then head of the House of Habsburg-Lorraine, gave the couple his blessing.[3][4] Her husband is a son of Archduke Géza of Austria and a maternal grandson of Frederick Augustus III of Saxony.[5][6]
She and her husband have four children:

- László Rum von Habsburg (born 2002)
- Gisela Aluk von Habsburg (born 2004)
- Mátyás Malith von Habsburg (born 2009)
