Club Pilates

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Club Pilates is a boutique fitness company founded in 2007 and based in Irvine, California with over 600 franchises in North America.[1] [2] As of 2017, Club Pilates added between 30 and 40 new locations per month, making it a fast-growing company. [3] The business' locations offer classes which include Pilates, barre, Triggerpoint, and TRX Suspension. [4] In 2020, Club Pilates announced a multi-year collaboration with gymnast Aly Raisman, who serves as Core Ambassador. [5]

Classes[edit]

Club Pilates offers classes in nine types and four different levels of difficulty ranging from "Foundation" to "Mastery". Most classes utilize Pilates equipment such as the Pilates reformer, Pilates springboard, and Wunda chair.

Leadership[edit]

Allison Beardsley founded Club Pilates in 2007, and under her leadership, the company grew to 30 locations and $2.9 million in sales by 2015. [3] Wishing to move away from a career in business, Beardsley sold the company in 2015 to Anthony Geisler, who had previously worked to scale fitness franchise LA Boxing. Geisler made a number of changes in the interest of increasing growth. He changed studio colors to blue and neutrals in order to increase male attendance, switched pricing from a pay-by-class system to a monthly membership fee, and introduced official merchandise to be sold in every franchise. [3]

Instructor Training[edit]

Club Pilates offers a 500-hour training program for its instructors which covers human anatomy, biomechanics, physiology, and applied kinesiology. The training utilizes online modules and in-studio applied learning sessions and requires a $4750 tuition. [6]
