Ed Clark, known professionally by his stage name Codeko, is a British DJ and record producer based in London, United Kingdom. He is best known for writing and producing his single 'Say Hi' featuring Austin Mahone, and playing at festivals such as Tomorrowland, Electric Zoo, Life in Color, and Mysteryland.

Early life and Career[edit]

Ed Clark was classically trained on multiple instruments from a young age, and attended Eton College between 2009-2014 as a music scholar.[1] During this period he began to produce electronic music, however aged 17 he stopped in order to focus on academics,[2] and then attended the University of Cambridge to study Physical Natural Sciences.[3]

In his sophomore year he released a string of new tracks, including the official Electric Zoo Anthem 'Walking With Lions'[4] - which was named BPM Breaker of the Year for 2016 on SiriusXM BPM.[5] He also began touring internationally during weekends between class, playing across North America,[6] Europe,[7] and Asia.[8] He subsequently signed to Astralwerks (subsidiary of Universal Music Group) and released his track 'Say Hi' featuring Austin Mahone,[9] which he wrote and produced. In 2018, Clark graduated with a master's degree in Physical Natural Sciences,[10] receiving First-Class Honours - equivalent of 4.0 GPA. He subsequently embarked on the 'Semester Abroad Tour' of North America and Europe in the fall of 2018, and signed to Empire Distribution - the first electronic act the hip-hop label had signed.

Codeko is also known for his remixes; his remix of Marshmello's 'Silence' peaked at #1 on Sirius XM's BPM countdown & #1 on the Soundcloud dance charts.[11] His remix of Kygo's 'It Ain't Me' reached over 10 million streams; was supported by acts such as The Chainsmokers[12] and Steve Aoki;[13] and used for the official Electric Love Festival 2018 aftermovie.[14]

Codeko is signed to USA-based management company Medium Rare[15] alongside Shaquille O'Neal[16] and Carnage,[17] and represented by Creative Artists Agency.[18]
