CogitalGroup (previously "Cogital") is a British accounting firm consolidator based in London.[1] It was founded in August 2016 by former Deloitte UK Managing Partner and CEO John Connolly, in collaboration with the private equity firm HgCapital. London based accountancy firm Blick Rothenberg became the foundation acquisition of the group[2].

In July 2018 CogitalGroup announced the acquisitions Westleton Drake [3] and Wilkins Kennedy LLP.[4] In August 2018, CogitalGroup announced the acquisition of Hazlems Fenton.[5]

In July 2019 it was reported that the group may be for sale[6] but in September 2019 it was reported that negotiations with Permira had collapsed after a disagreement about price.[7][8]
