Colby Boothman-Shepard (born July 4, 1992) is an American actor.
Early life[edit]
Boothman was born in Boston, Massachusetts, the son of Rhode Nicole Boothman-Shepard, and Thomas Shepard[1][2] and was raised in Warwick, Rhode Island.[3] He began his swordsmanship under Alex Ripa at Rhode Island Fencing Academy and Club where he fenced internationally in the Fédération Internationale d'Escrime (International Fencing Federation).[4][5] Boothman moved from Rhode Island to attend Allen D. Nease High School in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida and finished high school in New Orleans, Louisiana while his mother assisted in post-Hurricane Katrina relief efforts.[2][6]
Career[edit]
In 2012, he was cast as the demon Abalam of Eli Roth's The Last Exorcism Part II,.[7][8] The same year of its release, Boothman received a role in the film Beautiful Creatures,[9][10] and appeared in the Jonas Brothers "Pom Poms" music video.[11]
In 2014, Boothman had a supporting role as Paul Mason[12] in the feature film In The Town That Dreaded Sundown,.[13] In October of that same here he attended the Fantastic Fest premiere. He appeared in Hot Tub Time Machine 2 in early 2015.[14]
Boothman joined the cast of Jurassic World in 2014.[13][15] His character in the movie was also used in the simultaneously released video game Lego Jurassic World as a playable character.[16] Also in 2015, Boothman was an acorn for Star Wars Battlefront, where he performed motion capture and lightsaber dueling for Luke Skywalker.[15][16][17]
In the 2015 season of MythBusters, Boothman was the guest star of the Star Wars: The Myths Strike Back special.[18]
