Cole Gordon (born November 18, 1992) is an American entrepreneur, investor, and sales trainer. He is the founder and chief executive officer of Closers.io, a sales training and recruiting company specializing in helping businesses recruit, train, and manage sales teams. Gordon is also associated with the Remote Closing Academy and 7-Figure Selling Academy and has invested in companies including Skool, Saleskick, and Dialer.io.[1]
Early life and education
Gordon was born in Columbus, Ohio, and was raised in Granville, Ohio. He attended Ohio University, where he studied Applied Nutrition Science. He initially intended to pursue a career in medicine before becoming interested in personal development, entrepreneurship, and sales.[2]
Before entering sales, Gordon worked as a bartender. According to accounts of his early career, he earned approximately $18,000 annually while working long hours, including weekends and holidays. He subsequently looked for alternative business opportunities and attempted to establish a paid advertising business.[3]
Gordon has described sending approximately 350 cold emails during an early attempt to enter the digital business space. The venture was unsuccessful. He also lost approximately $8,000 in an early business investment, after which he turned to high-ticket telephone sales.[4]
Sales career
Gordon began his corporate sales career as a low-performing representative. He has described being ranked last among 12 sales representatives. He improved his performance by repeatedly reviewing recordings of his unsuccessful sales calls and studying his sales process.[5]
He later became a top-performing sales representative at Traffic & Funnels, where he subsequently worked as a lead advisor. His experience included selling high-ticket coaching, consulting, and agency services and advising sales teams and managers.[6]
Gordon has stated that he spent approximately five years in sales before establishing Closers.io. He has attributed his later business development to experience in direct sales, sales management, consulting, team building, and sales training.[7]
Closers.io
Gordon founded Closers.io in November 2019 and serves as its founder and chief executive officer.[8]
Closers.io works with businesses that sell high-end services and provides services covering sales-system development, sales recruitment, representative training and ramp-up, and sales-team management.[9]
The company's stated business model consists of four principal areas:
- Sales systems – Closers.io licenses sales systems and operating processes designed to provide businesses with a foundation for scaling sales operations.
- Done-for-you recruiting – The company states that it receives approximately 3,000 to 5,000 applications from sales representatives each month and filters them to approximately 400 to 800 interviews before presenting candidates to clients.
- Ramp-up – Closers.io provides sales-training processes intended to help representatives progress from the beginning of training to established key performance indicators.
- Management – The company helps clients establish internal sales-management systems intended to maintain sales-team performance without outsourcing management.[10]
Gordon has publicly stated that Closers.io grew from $0 to more than $30 million in annual revenue within 26 months. This figure is presented as a claim in Gordon's professional profiles and other material about his business career.[11]

One published review reported that a prospective participant had been quoted $8,400 for the program and noted that employment after completing the training was not guaranteed.[36]
Online reviews have also criticized the program for covering sales concepts that reviewers believed could be learned through free resources. Other reviews have questioned the value of the program relative to its price.[37]
A Trustpilot review reproduced by a third-party review site alleged that a customer had received earnings and return-on-investment expectations that were not achieved. Another customer review praised the training and group component but criticized the level of individual coaching received.[38]
