The Colorado Sockeyes are a Tier II junior simulated ice hockey team in the Major Electronic Hockey League. The Sockeyes play their home games at Ice Centre At the Promenade in Denver, Colorado.
History[edit]
In 2021, the Major Electronic Hockey League (MEHL) announced that they had approved the Colorado Polar Bears to begin play in the 2021-22 season as a member of the Divison 2.[1] The Sockeyes are very excited to get their 2024-25 inaugural season as the Colorado Sockeyes in the MEHL as a part of the South Division. [2] The rebrand of the Colorado Polar Bears name and logo was announced on May-27th-2024 as the Colorado Sockeyes. [3] The Sockeyes were originally the Colorado Polar Bears as they played in the MEHL for 3 seasons and now the MEHL has decided to rebrand the Polar Bears to start a whole new era for the Polar Bears franchise and the league.
