The Communist Party of Brazil (Red Fraction) (Portuguese: Partido Comunista do Brasil - Fração Vermelha) is a clandestine far-left brazilian organization that originated as an anti-revisionist maoist wing of the Communist Party of Brazil in the 1980’s[1], adopting the ideology of the Communist Party of Peru – Sendero Luminoso[2].
The party’s phylosophy is Marxism–Leninism–Maoism and Gonzalo Thought, an interpretation of Maoism origininaly synthesized by the Shining Path. The party is a member of the International Communist Movement, within which it opposes the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist) as Revisionist. The party promotes Protracted People’s War as a strategy for revolution[3], and maintains a strong Anti-electoral posture. The CPB(RF) has been accused of being a satelite party of the Communist Party of Ecuador – Red Sun[4].
