The Consumer Finance Review Board is a non-biased third party site that reviews finance companies dealing directly with consumers across America. Their reviews are based on the claims made by finance companies to consumers through advertising and direct communication with the consumers. They research public information like Better Business Bureau reports, legal filings, online forums and discussion boards as well as invite consumers to share their experiences directly on their web site.

History

The Consumer Finance Review Board was established on September 9, 2014 by Aaron Dominguez who claims to have recognized a growing need for consumer safety and corporate accountability. Since the CFRB opened its doors in 2014, they have dedicated all of their resources to attempting to create a more even playing field. This has been done primarily by exposing corruption in companies, and shedding light on honest companies that may have been overlooked before.

Bitcoin

Beginning in September 2015, The Consumer Finance Review Board has reported on various news topics pertaining to the overall benefit of the American Consumers. These news articles have been primarily around Bitcoin.

Review process

Their ongoing investigation process starts with public records filings and online resources like the Better Business Bureau and other online forums. They attempt to avoid the rhetoric of self-proclaimed advice gurus and focus on results of promises given to the consumer. The Consumer Finance Review Board investigates business affiliations and conducts additional reviews in order to provide a clear picture of what the consumer finance companies are involved with in order to shed light on their commitment of service to the consumer. They encourage consumer involvement in their reviews asking consumers to share their experiences with finance companies they are reviewing. When they have found a consumer finance company that rates at least 4 stars or higher they contact the consumer finance company and request an opt-in allowing them to randomly interview consumers who agree to be interviewed over the phone that have contacted them or have conducted business with the consumer finance company.
