Cool Blaze
Justin Elliott (Born May 8th 1988) better known by his stage name CoolBlaze[1] is American DJ, record producer, and songwriter based in Miami,Florida. CoolBlaze has become known for his blend of dancehall & socawith EDM (electronic dance music)[2] a genre that has come to be known as CDM (Caribbean Dance Music)[3]. CoolBlaze co-founded Island360[4] a Caribbean based Lifestyle brand geared toward spreading Caribbean culture world wide. In May of 2018 CoolBlaze Released his 1st Single "New Wave"[5] featuring GBMNutron (Trinidad) & Skorch Bun It (Cayman Islands) on a joint release with On Lock Records and Happy Parrot Records.
Career[edit]
Early life
CoolBlaze was born in Philadelphia, PA on May 8th, 1988 the son of June Scott and Wilbert Elliott. Moving to Miami at young age and growing up in an environment overflowing with island fusions, helped shape his production style. In high-school he would start throwing events and deejaying gaining popularity as a local influencer around Miami. After a few years of focusing on events, he decided that Deejaying and making music is what he really wanted to do. In October of 2014 Cool Blaze put out his 1st Mixtape "Ladies Love Vol 1" [6] which started to build his following on SoundCloud and has lead to over 2,500,000+ plays.
Electric Karnival
Electric Karnival[7] is a mixtape series[8] Cool Blaze started in 2016 that turned into a festival event now know as EK Fest. The mix is a fusion of Soca music with EDM geared towards creating a vibe like never before. The mixtape series gained so much popularity Cool Blaze decided to turn it into a Music Festival and bring the experience to life. The 1st installment was held at Virginia Key Beach in Miami,FL July 4th weekend 2017. It featured Walshy Fire of Major Lazer , Bunji Garlin, DJ 4B [9] , Ape Drums, DJ Slinkk , Silent Addy DJ Private Ryan , and many more international acts from around the world.
