Tarquini & Prevale was a dance music group of radio hosts, disc jockeys and Italian record producers of m2o Radio, formed by Francesco Tarquini (born 6 June, 1979 in Rome) and Carlo Prevale (born 6 July, 1983 in Subiaco).
History[edit]
The Team[edit]
Always passionate about radio and electronic music, in 2004 Francesco and Carlo formed the dance music group: Tarquini & Prevale, starting a series of collaborations with the Roman radio station Radio Centro Suono, for which they conducted the broadcasts Voglio Vederti Danzare and Mix Time Machine.
In the summer of 2005 the group abandoned the local broadcaster presenting a new format to the direction of the newborn m2o / musica allo stato puro, national radio station of dance music of Gruppo Editoriale L'Espresso, Kick off - m2o nel Pallone, a mix of dance and trance music alternated with news on the football world, broadcast every Sunday morning from 11.00am to 1.00pm.[1]
For the following season they conducted another broadcast for m2o, dedicated to the world of videogames, Gamepad - La Consolle Virtuale.[1] It is a container of dance music alternated by news on the world of videogames,[2] also realized in collaboration with console manufacturers for videogames such as Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo, Activision, Ubisoft and Koch Media. In the same year he started a recording project in parallel, producing the first single In My Dreams, included in the compilation Amoroso's Invasion produced by Smilax Publishing, Perugia's label,[3] followed in 2007 by the second single Sognami, Italian version of In My Dreams. Also in 2007, Tarquini and Prevale selected and mixed Gamepad Compilation Vol. 1.0, a collection linked to the transmission they conducted on m2o and produced by the Asti Bit Records record label, distributed on digital in all over the world and in Italy on physical support by newsstands from Caymera Srl of the Mondadori group,[4] followed by Gamepad Compilation Vol. 2.0, also produced by Bit Records, distributed on digital media all over the world, and in Italy on physical support in record stores and newsstands by Self Distribution.[5]
The separation[edit]
In 2010 Prevale, devote himself to various musical productions as a soloist, left Gamepad - La Consolle Virtuale[6] to Tarquini and Mila,[1] ending in this way all the radio and recording activities with the group. Tarquini will continue his activity as radio host until 2014, then leaving his place to Mila and Fabio Amoroso.[7]
