Places of Interest
Konadi Dargah
Originally built in the 16th century, the pre-Portuguese era monument was built by sultan Yusuf Adil Shah of Bijapur. The Darga (shrine) was built in honor of Khwaja Ismail Chisti – an Awliya (a Muslim saint) who was the caretaker of land areas in Konadi. It is believed that his ‘incorrupt remains’ still lie here.
Like most mosques built during this time in Goa, it does not have a dome or minarets.[2]
