Cornitos is an Indian snack brand[1] known for its nacho crisps and other snack products. Established in 2009,[2] Cornitos has become a significant player in the Indian snack food industry. Cornitos has a strong market presence in India and is expanding its footprint globally.[3]
History
Cornitos was founded by Vikram Agarwal[4][5] under the umbrella of Greendot Health Foods Pvt. Ltd. Agarwal was inspired to start the brand after trying tortilla chips for the first time while visiting the United States.[6] The brand was created with the vision of introducing Mexican-inspired nacho crisps to the Indian market, a niche that was largely unexplored at the time.[6]
At its inception, the brand marketed towards a younger, health conscious demographic.[6]
The brand redesigned their packaging in 2011.[6] By 2021, the brand was selling in 300 cities across India.[7]
Products
Cornitos offers a wide range of products, including:
- Nacho Crisps, which are available in fifteen flavors: Barbecue, beetroot, Cheese and Herbs, Lime and Mint, melange, Peri Peri, quinoa, Sea Salt, Sour Cream and Onion, Sizzlin' Jalapeño, spinach, Sweet Chili, Tikka Masala, Tomato Mexicana, and Wasabi.[6][8]
