Overview[edit]
The company founded as a design brand in 1983 in the USA by the Italian husband and wife Valeria and Ugo Campello.[8] In 1985, after experiencing initial issues with the production outsourcing, Ugo Campello launched a manufacturing base in Italy, expanding the company's product line.[9] By 2013, Cosabella distributed 1,620 styles of lingerie, daywear, loungewear, sleepwear and sportswear in more than 90 countries.[10] By 2019, Cosabella has become an international brand distributed in major US and European retail stores and online. The company is a member of the Council of Fashion Designers of America.[11]

Cosabella is a family run business with design headquarters in Miami, flagship store in New York City and production base in Italy. Its largest market is the U.S., followed by Italy. Since Guido Campello was appointed CEO in 2014, the company’s focus changed from solely manufacturing and wholesale to “... digital retail, private label, licensing and co-branding.”[20] The company's line of business includes the wholesale distribution of women's, children's, and infants' clothing and accessories.[21][22][23] The main product lines are: CSBLA (lifestyle), Triathalon (activewear), Extended, Maternity and Bridal. Cosabella has one registered patent assigned to Luemme Inc., in the field of clothing industry.[24] In 2017, Cosabella began working with software company using an integrated AI technology for personalization of client interaction processes in order to enhance marketing efforts.[25]

Cosabella has a recorded history of joint work with designers, retailers, fashion brands and celebrities for new product lines creation and distribution.[26][27]
- In 2013, Cosabella partnered with BeachMint, a Santa Monica subscription fashion retailer to create “intiMint" label. Cosabella handled manufacturing, design and distribution elements.[28][29]
- In 2015, Cosabella paired with Paris-based contemporary label Paul & Joe to create a joint collection of Paul & Joe’s prints and colors with Cosabella’s fabrics.[30]
- The lingerie brand teamed up with the costume designer from The Americans series, Jenny Gering, for a new product line of intimate apparel.[31]
