Crack Down Big City Blues, directed by the late Paul M. DeSilva, and produced by his childhood friend NYPD Detective turned filmmaker Frazier Prince, which and featured the debut of Rhonda Ross Kendrick, daughter of legendary Diana Ross and Music Mogul Berry Gordy, Jr., and Stu Large Riley, and premiered at Cannes Film Festival, and winner of the Billy Dee Williams Award for Best Anti-Drug message in a film, and Best Director at the Pocono Mountains Film Festival[1].

Crackdown Big City Blues was originally released on November 20, 2018, in the United States, with a budget of $300,000. The box office information is unknown. Frazier Prince acted as the film's producer, his first 35mm feature produced by Juniper Pictures.[2] The film was distributed by The Film Detective[3], including a special edition Blu-ray release in 2018.[4]

Crackdown Big City Blues illustrates the anguish, brutality and violence associated with drug dealers claiming their turf in a feisty small community... A community which wants to protect its inhabitants and remain drug free. Crackdown Big City Blues is an action-packed picture filled with Rap music and dance. It addresses contemporary issues of drugs and gangs ruling the streets of our cities today.[5]

Crack Down Big City Blues received positive reviews for its 2018 Blu-ray release, including Anne Carlini of Six Degrees Entertainment who said the film "is one of the finest reveals of the once-prevalent crack epidemic in 1990's New York that I've seen a decade or more."[6]
