Crakmedia

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Crakmedia Network is an international web marketing company based in Quebec City, Canada. It primarily specializes in e-commerce. Crakmedia oversees an advertising network that generates around a billion impressions monthly in approximately 200 countries and territories.[1][2][3][4]

Its main areas of operation are performance marketing, web development, traffic monetization, internet traffic brokering for advertisers and publishers in the online advertising and performance marketing industries.[2][4][5]

History[edit]

Crakmedia dates back to 2004 when three roommates Nicolas Chrétien, Xavier Farooghi and Frédéric Hains, launched a humor website called danerd.com.[6][5]

In 2006, they brought in the traffic monetization component, and picked the company name Crakmedia.[4][7]

Axel Vézina, CSO, and Samuel Thiffault, VP IT VP, joined Crakmedia; at the same time, the company evolved into a web marketing agency offering web billboard and banner contracts to advertisers.[7]

The company then developed a software platform to increase advertising campaigns performances, then to share this all in one solution to others.[3]

Since 2006, Crakmedia has been able to turn more than 40,000 competitors into partners while building an ITS affiliates network.[2]

Clientele[edit]

Nearly 98% of Crakmedia's revenues are generated from international sources. Roughly 700,000 transactions (23,000/day) pass through Crakmedia's technological solutions every month.[2]

Crakmedia's clientele comprises media buyers specialists, website operators, web traffic brokers, influencers, and social media marketers.[8][2]

Legal issues[edit]

Crakmedia won a Judgment in a patent infringement case against the plaintiff, Essociate, Inc., in 2015. Essociate Inc., a company based in San Francisco, California, had sued more than 20 companies for patent infringement for infringing the 660 patent and obtained settlements from the companies. Crakmedia decided not to settle and teamed up with Clickbooth.com, and the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California ruled in favor of Crakmedia based on the Supreme Court's decision in Alice Corp. v. CLS Bank.[9][10]
