Cristy's Pizza is locally owned independent pizza company headquartered in Lancaster, Ohio that offers a variety of pizza, subs, and salads that is consistently ranked as one of the Top 100 Independent pizza chains in the United States.

History[edit]

Acquired in 1990 by Jason D. Biggs after he graduated high school with $10,000 of his own money saved by doing odd jobs[1] from Dick & Connie Crist,[2] Cristy's has 8 locations serving the Amanda, Baltimore, Buckeye Lake, Chillicothe, Circleville, Lancaster, and Logan areas with the Baltimore, Buckeye Lake, and East Lancaster locations offering dine-in service.[3]

Sales volume[edit]

In October 2002, Cristy's was ranked 13th of the nation's Top 100 pizzerias by Pizza Today magazine with a sales volume of approximately $6 million dollars.[4] In October 2009, Cristy's was ranked 25th with a sales volume of approximately $6.5 million.[5]

Offerings[edit]

On September 14, 2009 the company introduced a new pizza called The Bigg Sicilian which is their first thick crust pizza offering.[6] Also offered are a New York Style pizza,[7] along with thin crust pizzas in personal (8"), small (11"), medium (13"), large (15"), and extra large (17") sizes.

Community involvement[edit]

Cristy's has been involved in the community by passing out coupons for free personal size pizzas at local Independence Day parades.[8]
