Croydon FM is a community radio station based in Croydon, broadcasting from the heart of Croydon on 97.8 FM to London and online.[1] The station began in 2018 as an online only radio service prior to acquiring its community radio license from Ofcom in May 2020, launching the FM service in September 2021.[2] [3] The station's programming includes R&B, Hip-Hop, Afrobeats, Dancehall, House, and Garage music genres.[4]

Croydon FM serves the culturally and ethnically diverse community of Croydon and surrounding areas. It provides a platform for local music talent as well as taking part in community outreach, at the core of Croydon FM’s operation is a community of local people.[5][6]
