Crypt is an American rapper and YouTuber. He started his self-titled YouTube channel on June 15, 2012 and has acquired 518 thousand subscribers. Crypt is mostly known for his contribution in the hip hop industry, from releasing raps to reviewing and reacting to ones. In August 2018, he released the four-part YouTube series "Rap vs. Trap". He also is the director of Red Reserve Gaming.

Career[edit]

YouTube beginnings, Saw Sniping, and musical beginnings (2012-16)[edit]

Crypt founded a YouTube channel on June 15, 2012, releasing a video of him hitting his camera with a wiffle ball the same day. The video has acquired 1.9 thousand views and 100 likes. Crypt originally posted rock music covers and video gaming montage. He began advancing into the hip hop community in 2016 and 2017 and released diss tracks on various YouTubers. In January 2017, Crypt joined Saw Sniping. He left the team in March, saying that he left the channel because of a lack for director uploads and distancing from the team. Crypt began hosting diss track challenges, sped-up versions of raps, and remixes.

"Soldier", Eminem-MGK beef analysis, Tales From The Crypt announcement (2017-18)[edit]

On February 26, 2017, he released the song "Soldier" featuring Kiwiz. Speaking on the song, Crypt said:

This is the first true song that I have done that is not a diss track. I open up to a side of myself that a lot of you guys don't know about.

On January 19, 2018, he released his debut single "Flame" with a feature from Rezzy. On August 10, Crypt released "Rap or Die". On March 7, he released the single "Back Home". The music video acquired 23 thousand views on YouTube. An June 14, 2018, he released "ABC's" as part of "The One Take Contest". In September 2018, in response to the Eminem and Machine Gun Kelly beef, Crypt uploaded four videos analyzing the beef: "Everything Wrong With Machine Gun Kelly's 'Rap Devil'", "Everything Great About Machine Gun Kelly's 'Rap Devil'", "Everything Great About Eminem's 'Killshot'", "Who Won Between Eminem and Machine Gun Kelly?". The series gained him mass popularity. Crypt released a diss track on Machine Gun Kelly called "Devil's Dead" on September 13. The song' music video acquired 485 thousand views on YouTube. On September 22, Crypt's channel reached 100 thousand suscribers. On November 13, 2018, Crypt previewed his upcoming project Tales From The Crypt with the song "Hit List". In December 2018, Crypt reached out to Dax for a collab song. Dax lowed down his feature price to $1 thousand for Crypt.

"Four Horsemen", Dax beef, and "The Devil Went Down to Georgia" spinoff (2019-present)[edit]

In January 2019, Crypt released "New Year New Me" and "Rise Up" with guest vocals from Blindsight. Dax sent a short rap verse to Crypt for the song, so to fill the track up more, Crypt featured Quadeca and Scru Face Jean as well. On January 22, they released the collaborative single "Four Horsemen". The song stirred up beef between Crypt, Scru, and Dax because of Dax's controversial lyric:

On February 8, 2019, Crypt released the single "Bad Habit". The song featured several lyrics calling Dax out. Crypt dissed Lil Pump, remixing his song "Be Like Me" to "I Don't Wanna Be Like You". On March 24, he collaborated with a large group of rappers in the YouTube hip hop community for the "YouTube Cypher" which included appearances from Vin Jay, Fabvl, PFV, Joey Nato, Scru, Chvse, Randolph, Hi-Rez, and Blindsight. On April 21, 2019, Crypt released the song "Worst Day of My Life". In March, he released the country rap single "Down This River". In May 2019, Crypt created tier lists for YouTube rapper, mumble rappers, and YouTube diss tracks. On May 16, he released "Locked Up". On June 14, 2019, Crypt collaborated with the YouTube hip hop community to release a diss track on Dax called "Eulogy". The diss was a response to Dax's "Wack Ass Rappers". On June 24, Crypt collaborated with Lex Bratcher to release the song "On The Map". On June 28, Crypt released the single "The Devil Went Down to Hip Hop" which featured Vin Jay and No Life Shaq. The song was a spinoff from "The Devil Went Down to Georgia" by Charlie Daniels. On July 13, 2019, Crypt, Gawne, and Chvse released the collaborative single "Rise". On July 27, Crypt premiered the "Youtube Cypher Vol. 2". The cypher featured guest appearances from Mac Lethal, Quadeca, ImDontai, Scru, Devvon Terrell, NemRaps, Ryan Oakes, Moxas, DKrapartist, Lex Bratcher, VI Seconds, and Gawne. The beat was produced by Joey Nato.
