Legal issues and controversies

Logic "Midnight" beat rights

In 2018, Logic released his seventh mixtape, Bobby Tarantino 2. On the song, "Midnight", Logic sampled the beat from "Wonderful", a song from Quadeca's third studio album, Out of Order. On March 10, 2018, Dearden uploaded a video addressing the issue. He compared the two songs and stated it was evident that Logic had sampled the same beat. Dearden, however, dismissed it because he only bought a lease for the beat and not the exclusive rights and jokingly ended the video with a failed freestyle diss.

KSI feud

In late 2018, Quadeca was involved in an online feud with YouTube gamer and rapper KSI after he called out Quadeca among other YouTube rappers on his podcast and claiming that they were frauds.[4] Quadeca responded by dropping a diss track titled "Insecure" within a week. The video racked up over 8 million views in the first 10 days. KSI eventually responded with his own diss track titled "Ares", where he disses not only Quadeca, but other YouTube rappers Dax and Crypt. It is commonly agreed that Quadeca had the better of the two diss track and won the feud. They eventually made up and played a game of FIFA together, which was posted to both of their YouTube pages.
