Culinars is a mobile app that provides recipe suggestions based on tastes, dietary options, skill level, age, gender, ethnic background and ingredients while allowing its users to shop ingredients from other users or local stores instantly. The Culinars app will be available for iOS, Android, and Windows 10.[1]
Culinars allows users to search by nutrition, cuisine, time, taste, ingredient, diet, and allergy; and ‘learns’ about users by studying their ethnic background, age, gender, dietary options, cuisine preferences and cuisine preferences of social media friends of the users. Culinars uses this information to categorize food for search and create personalized recipe lists.[2] Culinars is located in Istanbul, Turkey[3]

The company was founded by Egemen Guray, Oktay Sen, Rengin Tarhan, and Berk Kilic in mid 2016 after they graduated from Robert College. Guray was previously with Microsoft and Gram Games.[4]
