Culturally Modified is a registered non-profit society and digital magazine based out of traditional Wet’suwet’en territory in Smithers, British Columbia.[1] Its mandate is to promote awareness of cultural diversity and establish a forum for dialogue about Pacific Northwest culture and its role in today’s world, as well as create conversation around cross-cultural understanding.[2] Founded in 2017, Culturally Modified focusses equally on education, wisdom and lived experience with articles that tackle issues such as mainstream media bias, cultural misunderstandings, and climate change.[1]
Culturally Modified accepts pitches and submissions for written articles, photo essays, audio interviews, and short videos.[3]
