The Cyprus Amateur Radio Society (in Greek, Όμιλος Ραδιοερασιτεχνών Κύπρου - ΟΡΚ) is a national non-profit organization for amateur radio enthusiasts in Cyprus. The society was founded in April 1975. The Cyprus Amateur Radio Society represents the interests of Cyprus amateur radio operators before national, European, and international telecommunications regulatory authorities.[1] The Cyprus Amateur Radio Society is the national member society representing Cyprus in the International Amateur Radio Union.[2]
Key membership benefits of the Cyprus Amateur Radio Society include the sponsorship of amateur radio operating awards and radio contests, and a QSL bureau for those members who regularly communicate with amateur radio operators in other countries.[3]
The Cyprus Amateur Radio Society is governed by a President, a General Secretary, a General Treasurer, four elected members, and one representative from each district section, serving for a period of one year.[4]
