Cyrus Homi Bhote (30 August 1958 – 14 June 2021) was an Indian businessman[1], fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales, and Certified Public Accountant in the United States, with extensive experience in financial analysis, accounting, and reporting.[2] He was active in his local Zoroastrian community. [3]
Early Life
Bhote was born in Mumbai, India in August 1958.[4] He was educated at Loyola High School in Jamshedpur. Upon moving to the United Kingdom, Bhote attended London Metropolitan University in London for his university studies and became a certified Chartered accountant and MCSE Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer. After university, Bhote worked in Audit for PricewaterhouseCoopers.[5]
Career
Bhote moved to the United States in 2000 and worked at The Quarto Group, Scafa Publishing, and Holsted Marketing as Controller/CFO.[6] Most recently, he worked as Controller and P2P Head of the Americas at Tata Consultancy Services. He had a successful track record developing and implementing new systems internationally, negotiating contracts, and solving mission critical business problems at his company Tata Consultancy Services[7] [8]
Zoroastrian Community
Cyrus was a notable participant in his local Zoroastrian community. He was a dedicated member of his local religious center for over 18 years, from 2003 to 2021.[9] He raised his two daughters in the Zoroastrian faith and he and his wife hosted a Navjote for their children in Mumbai in 2004. [10]
