Dániel Jellinek (born 12th of July, 1976) is a Hungarian billionaire real estate manager and businessman.[1], currently the CEO and majority owner of Indotek Group [2]. According to Forbes, he was the 10th wealthiest person in Hungary with an estimated fortune of 317 million EUR in 2019[3].

Dániel Jellinek was born on the 12 July 1976 in Budapest, Hungary.

Education[edit]

He conducted his secondary-school studies at the Foreign Trade Entrepreneurship department of Károlyi Mihály Vocational High School of Economics and Foreign Trade between 1991 and 1995. During his high school years, he spent a year at the Radwick Boys High School in Sydney, Australia. He graduated from the Gödöllő University of Agricultural Sciences as a Business Organizer Economist in 1999.

Career[edit]

His venturesome appeared very early, and in 1997 Dániel Jellinek founded Indotek Group[4], a property investment, utilization and development company[5], which is owned by American and Hungarian shareholders today.[6]

As a ’professional long-term investor’ [7], Indotek Group is constantly expanding its portfolio by obtaining estates in the office, residential, hotel, retail and warehouse industries as well as industrial properties. The company is one of the most significant market players in Hungary, its services are especially unique regarding Class B and Class C properties[8].

Among its major transactions, Indotek Group acquired the 360-room hotel Sofitel Hotel Chain Bridge in Budapest [9], and the 234-room Danubius Hotel Gellért in 2019 [10].

In the beginning of 2020, it has been officially announced, that Indotek Group acquired the investment management company, Diófa Asset Management [11].

In 2020 Indotek Group acquired a 24 per cent stake of Appeninn from BDPST Zrt. [12].

In 2020 Dániel Jellinek’s Indotek has agreed with Mid Europa Partners to sell a 24% stake in Hungarian road haulage company Wabererʼs International to Trevelin Holding, a unit of Hungarian property developer Indotek [13]
