The D.C. Cup [1] between the Georgetown Hoyas and the Howard BIson is a match-up between two private universities, Georgetown University and Howard University, in Washington, D.C.. The two schools are just four miles apart within the District. Even though both teams have played football for over one hundred years, the first meeting between the teams was in 2008. Georgetown is a football-only member of the Patriot League while Howard is a member of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference; both teams are in the FCS.
The football series has been played a total of 3 times as of 2013.
