Bradley Bernard Whitaker Jr. (born December 16, 1993),[1] professionally known as DJ BJ, is an American disc jockey (DJ) and record executive from Richmond, Virginia. He initially gained recognition as the official DJ for Atlanta-based rapper No Plug. He is perhaps best known for hosting several mixtapes, most notably his ‘'The Introduction collaboration tape with Nav. [2]
In March 2017, DJ BJ released his first album ‘'Feed The Streets, Vol. 1’’, under Ruby Recordings[3]. In June 2017, it was announced that DJ BJ was the new tour DJ for No Plug, who is signed to 21 Savage's Slaughter Gang Music Group. On August 15, 2017, he released his plans to record his second studio album.
Music Career[edit]
Since moving to Atlanta, his career in music has flourished into reality from a simple dream. He began to DJ in clubs around the city and network with many different recording artists and producers. He has worked with many others around Atlanta and the rest of the world. DJ BJ has opened up for and performed alongside many artists such as Travis Scott, 21 Savage, Waka Flocka Flame, Kap G, Metro Boomin, Migos, and more.
DJ BJ had also broken many records by successful recording artists such as K Camp, Rae Sremmurd, 21 Savage, Kap G, and many more in elite clubs around Atlanta like Opera Nightclub, Enigma Lounge, and more; he is a veteran with a wide variety of experience, having played nightclubs, weddings, private events, festivals, and produced original tracks and remixes.
Most of DJ BJ's music can be found on YouTube and Spinrilla, including his most popular song, “Let’s Do It", has over 9 million views on YouTube. DJ BJ's first official mixtape, “Sensational Pt. 2”, was released on July 6, 2016 to Spinrilla. It was co-hosted by DJ Marc B. DJ BJ's second mixtape, “The Introduction” was released September 4, 2016. It has over 500 thousand views and 120 thousand streams making it his most popular mixtape.
