Gideon Alorgbey , better known as DJ Sly or The Unstoppable, is a Ghanaian event, club, mixtape, radio and video dj and entrepreneur. He is a nine time Ghana DJ Awards nominee and is best known for his hit single Testify that ft nigerian rapper Ice Prince & Kay switch[1][2].
Life & Career[edit]
Gideon Alorgbey was born on 2 February, 1991 in Accra.At age of 19 years, DJ Sly started his deejay days during his senior high school years at Ada Senior Technical School. having a mother who believed in the importance of education, DJ Sly was allowed to choose the career of his choice only if he stayed in school. In high school he read General Arts. He then read Marketing at Accra Technical University. When he was growing up he studied radio and tv broadcasting at GBC because he was interested in hosting, DJing and presenting. With all these he was confidence of working on an urban radio where he had the chance to work with X FM not even as a DJ but a technician until one day a dj missed his airtime on radio and he sat in for him which was his break through as a radio dj having his own radio show entitled week edition show on every Saturday morning talking about issues making the headline during the week and Top 10 Ghana Songs of the Week. With all this he wasn't comfortable been on radio station locked in a little booth where he couldn’t see the reaction of the people he was playing for. He wanted to be on the scene like a club and event DJ so he can feel and interact with the audience .
DJ Sly was signed to WatsUp TV in 2016 as their official dj and host of video fusion mixing music videos worldwide emphasizing on Africa.[3]. He was nominated at 2017 Ghana DJ Awards for Best Video DJ.[4] DJ Sly signed a management deal with US based firm JMK Publicist/Firm in 2017[5][6]
