Biography[edit]

As a child, he was bullied for eight years from the first year of primary schools to the eighth year of junior high school, but when he suddenly threw a machete that had fallen in the workshop in anger at his mother being ridiculed, the reaction of the people around him changed completely. This led him to believe that he could change the world with his actions.[2]

Scandals[edit]

In July 2021, the two YouTubers Mikioda's alleged lewd acts caused an uproar, saying that "14 to 17 year olds are usually not arrested if they have the consent of their partner" and that "the police don't even investigate in the first place". However, Takeshi Okano, a lawyer, pointed out on his official YouTube channel that this was completely wrong. DaiGo eventually admitted his mistake and apologized[17]. On August 7, 2021, in response to a question from a viewer on a live stream, DaiGo made an argument against welfare and homelessness[18]. DaiGo's younger brother, Ryogo Matsumaru, also criticised him for "taking human life lightly. That's the only thing we can't allow. [21]. In response to these criticisms, DaiGo defended himself by saying, "It's my personal opinion, I'm not trying to instigate anything. The Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (MHLW) sent out a tweet saying, "Applying for welfare is a citizen's right. [22][23]. After that, on the night of the 13th, he said on his YouTube channel, "There are people who are trying their best to get back into society while receiving welfare and people who support them. The way he said that was not good. It was discriminatory, and I apologize for that. I'm very sorry about that."[24] He turned around and apologized. However, even with this apology, four organizations[25] that support welfare recipients pointed out that "the idea presented here is simply to change the standard for evaluating others to whether or not they are 'working hard' (as it appears to me), and the arrogance of thinking that one can judge the right to life of others remains unchanged. On the 14th, DaiGo distributed a video again, saying that he was only reflecting on himself and that he would like to renew his activities so that he can reduce the number of people who think like me, but it is probably just words[27].
