Dan Avidan & Super Guitar Bros is a collaborative studio album from American singer Dan Avidan and internet guitarist duo Super Guitar Bros, originally released on April 17, 2020.[1] The album features acoustic renditions of well-known pop and rock songs, with Avidan providing vocals and Super Guitar Bros providing instrumentation.
The group had previously collaborated on selected tracks in the Under the Covers series of cover albums from Avidan's band Ninja Sex Party.[2][3]
Promotion[edit]
The album and its title were both announced on November 13, 2019 by Avidan on an episode of Guest Grumps featuring the Super Guitar Bros.[4] The release date and track list were subsequently announced on March 29, 2020 by Avidan via his Instagram account.[5]
The first single, a cover of "Kiss from a Rose" by Seal, was released on April 3, 2020, accompanied by a music video featuring behind the scenes footage of the recording process for the album.[6]
The second single, a cover of Simon & Garfunkel's rendition of traditional English ballad "Scarborough Fair", released on April 10, 2020, accompanied by a music video animated by artist Imogen Scoppie.[7]
