After joining at age 13 Canta became the youngest member of the cold water swimming group known as Brighton Icebergers which former Victorian Premier Ted Baillieu became famous for being a member of prior to becoming Premier in 2010.[4] Former Mayor of Brighton John Locco described Canta as a spirited young boy and stating "Its terrific for someone so young to be doing this."[5]
