Hamish Chau, also known online as Phoenix SC or Phnixhamsta, is an Australian Minecraft YouTuber and gamer, known for his "Cursed Images" series, compilations of his subreddit, r/PhoenixSC, and his videos covering news about Minecraft. He is also known for creating two Minecraft Pokémon games, named Pokémon Amethyst and Pokémon Cobalt.[1]

Career

Chau first created his channel on August 30th, 2014, and released his first video only one day later, showcasing his creation of a Pokémon game within Minecraft.[2][3] After that, the first few years of his channel was mainly tutorials and showcases of command block creations, much of which was Pokémon related.

One of the things that made Chau's channel gain popularity was when he started his "Cursed Images" series[4], where he recreated images relating to Minecraft that displayed things not possible in the game with mods and commands.

Currently, Chau covers Minecraft news, shows off his creations relating to recent updates to Minecraft, creations from the Minecraft community, and is present in some Minecraft servers.[5]
