Career

Daniel Falcman-Lacroix is the author and co-author of three books and a total of fifty scientific articles in the fields of medicine (clinical pharmacology, oncology, medical microbiology, and infectious diseases) and educational sciences (the theory of education and the sociology of education).

He studied medicine at the Pomeranian Medical University in Szczecin, Poland; veterinary medicine at the University of Warmia & Mazury in Olsztyn, Poland (Faculty of Veterinary Medicine); bioethics at the University of Wrocław, Wrocław, Poland (MA); and educational sciences at the University of Zielona Góra, Zielona Góra, Poland (MA), most of which were awarded summa cum laude.

For his master’s thesis integrating ethics and neuro-oncology, as well as for his scholarly achievements in the field of educational sciences, he was awarded a scholarship from the Minister of Science and Higher Education of Poland for the 2008/2009 academic year. He was also a finalist in the Lower Silesian regional stage of the “Student Nobel Prize” competition organized by the Independent Students’ Association of Poland.

During his studies, he acquired practical competencies in pediatrics at the Department of Pediatrics, Oncology and Pediatric Immunology of the University Clinical Hospital No. 1 of the Pomeranian Medical University in Szczecin (Head: Prof. Jarosław Peregud-Pogorzelski, MD, PhD, DSc, Full Professor, National Consultant in Pediatrics in Poland for the 2023–2028 term), as well as at the Provincial Children’s Hospital in Olsztyn – Clinical Department of Pediatric Surgery and Urology with the Vascular Anomalies Treatment Center (Head: Wojciech Choiński, MD, PhD, Regional Consultant in Pediatric Surgery for the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, Poland).

At the Pomeranian Medical University in Szczecin, he served as Chair of the Student Scientific Society at the Department of General Pharmacology and Pharmacoeconomics, where, in collaboration with Dr. Izabela Uzar, PhD, DSc, he co-authored two review articles published in Farmacja Polska. He also served as Chair of the Student Scientific Society at the Department of Medical Law and was a member of the Student Scientific Society at the Department of Hygiene and Epidemiology, where he authored a chapter in a multi-author monograph on the epidemiology and epizootiology of rabies.

At the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn (Faculty of Veterinary Medicine), he held the position of Vice-Chair of the Student Scientific Society at the Department of Microbiology and Clinical Immunology.
