Daniel Patrick Kessler is an American painter living in Washington, D.C.

Kessler is best known for his "Dog with Apple" paintings and his rendering of the Texan flag. His paintings often depict geometrically shaped animals, science-related matters and architectural studies. He was given a presidential commission to paint the White House, and one of his paintings was used by President Bill Clinton and his wife Hillary Clinton as their Christmas card in 1996.

He has listed his major influences as modern artists such as Joseph Cornell, Man Ray, Robert Rauschenberg, and Gregory Gillespie; the 17th century Dutch masters; and the Italian Renaissance painters. He exhibits his art frequently at Eastern Market, Washington, D.C.
