From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Daniel Sillekens is a traveler, adventurer and artist that is currently traveling around the world on a Honda Transalp 700. He was born in Germany in 1977 and is of Polish descent.

He started off his world trip under the pseudononym "Silverrider" on a Honda XL1000V Varadero in January 2010 determined to travel for more or less 2.5 years.[1] He was transported to Greece where he first started riding and went down to Cape Town via the Middle East. He shipped his bike to Buenos Aires, went up the coast into Brasil, down to Tierra del Fuego and up to Alaska. He then shipped the bike to Australia and rode up including a few ferries and trains to Bangkok, but had to go back and leave from Kuala Lumpur because of the 2011 Thailand floods when Bangkok could no longer be visited. He shipped to Iran, went up to Central Asia in February and in temperatures of -18 degrees Celsius. It was reported in March, 2012 that Sillekens had covered 30,000 kilometres (19,000 mi) touring Europe, Africa and Iran.[2]

On May 1, 2013, he arrived back at his starting point in Germany, but he continued to travel after that going around Europe.[3] His intention is to cross the world again the other way around, ending the trip after indefinite time in the Antarctic.
