Daniel Timotheos Yohannan
Daniel Timotheos Yohannan (also known as Bishop Danny; born c. 1980s) is a Christian bishop and the current President of GFA World, an international humanitarian and missionary organization formerly known as Gospel for Asia. He is a consecrated bishop in the Believers Eastern Church, an indigenous church with operations across Asia and Africa.[1][2][3]
Early life and education
Born into the family of founder K.P. Yohannan and his wife Gisela, Daniel spent his formative years on the mission field in Asia. After completing high school, he pursued theological studies in South Asia, earning a degree in theology. He subsequently served on the mission field and helped establish a local church and seminary.[4]
Ecclesiastical career
In March 2017, Daniel was consecrated as a bishop by Believers Eastern Church, adopting the ecclesiastical name Timotheos.[5] He served as Vice President of GFA World from 2008 until his appointment as President following the death of his father, K.P. Yohannan, on May 8, 2024.[6]
Presidency of GFA World
As President since May 22, 2025, Bishop Danny leads GFA World’s global operations, overseeing mission efforts across Asia and expanding outreach into Africa, including new projects in Rwanda[7] and Liberia.[8] Under his leadership, the organization emphasizes training national missionaries and addressing physical, emotional, and spiritual needs worldwide.[2]
Personal life
He is married to Erika, and together they have three children. The family resides at GFA World headquarters in Texas.[2]
